Dear Diary,
First, some effin' punk at SI.com thinks he had the best weekend ever. Great, this guy gets his trip paid for by a multibillion dollar media monster, tools around in a rented gas guzzler, and writes about cornhole. Did he chug cans of Miller High Life Light while groovin' to Seger on U.S. 23 North and South? Did he roll with Ted? (Any Ted would do.) This guy may get the glory, but we know the truth. We had The Killer Time, and we need no self-serving memorial. Besides, rock and roll never forgets.
Second, I wanted to pass along a post-trip story. I left my mobile phone on the bus. (By the way, apologies to Billy Ho and Beaver Retriever. I am glad you found other accommodations.) Sunday morning, Ted found my phone buried in one of the seats. I drove to Grandview and found Ted performing an exorcism to rid the bus of all spirits, including, but not limited to, Captain Morgan, Jagermeister, and the spirit bags. I took a quick tour of the bus to see if anything else was left behind. In one of the cabinets, there was a nice leather bound journal. On each page was a brief description of past road trips that people had taken with the bus and signatures of the participants. Unfortunately, Ted did not inform us about this journal earlier, but I was able to make an entry on behalf of The Killer Time. It reads roughly as follows:
September 10, 2005
ND v. UM
UT v. OSU
From Columbus to Ann Arbor and back.
Both games on the same day.
The Killer Time
Not very artful, but it should do the trick. I am glad that I had this opportunity to hang out with each of you. The Killer Time was truly brilliant, and I hope we can do something like this again.
Kind regards,
PL

i know it was a great time when some guy woke me up while I was passed out (literally) on high street and then proceeded to yak in the grass. Brilliant
who yakked on the grass? you or the guy that woke you up?
PL: nice work on this post and the journal entry? fantastic piece of prose.
TOD: thanks for being my co-planner.
KT participants: this all came together b/c of you. through think and thin, even at 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, we stuck together and made sure everyone had a roof, even if it was in a hospital room!

No worries PL. As TOD says, it was simply a systematic breakdown of sorts. And sometimes you just can't prevent that.
We eventually found a place to crash so it was all good.
I appreciate your concerns but more than that, I appreciate you being a part of the KT.
Fantastic piece of writing too.
I'll be sending a bill to anyone that stayed at my place Saturday night.
Also, there is a 17 year-old girl that keeps coming to my place looking for Chad.
Haha Brutus! Very funny. But hey, she's gonna be 18 very soon she said! And secondly, I didn't touch her at all and you're the one that talked to her sat. night, i never saw her; except for friday night as she was showing us her beaver and tits and ass on U.S. 23 north bound to Perrysburg! That was great though! But Brutus, you know what they say- grass on the field, play ball!
Thanks to everyone involved with KT, it was a great time.
